      Entretien

Three level interview process. Used the STAR method for interviews. Behavioral based questions. “Tell me about a time when” type questions. Quick response after interviews. Overall very good experience with the interviews.

Tell me about a time you had to think quick on your feet with a situation.

      Candidature

J'ai postulé en ligne. J'ai passé un entretien chez Capital Group

      Entretien

The interview process in my experience consisted of 2 interviews. The 1st one was HR, and they just ask you general easy questions about why you want this position and what you'll be doing, they also ask for a brief background on you work experience. After this interview, I was invited to a 2nd interview where I had to give a 3-5 min sales pitch on some of the products offered by Cap Group. They give you no direction nor indication on what they expect from you that day, all they tell you is " Be creative, do not go past 5 minutes and do not read from a screen, memorize your script" so that is exactly what I did, I practiced my sales pitch for days and spent countless hours tweaking it and preparing. Since I did not know what they wanted, I took a conservative approach to the presentation. I put together a flyer with the highlights of the product and referred to the flyer throughout the presentation. Aside from the presentation they ask you behavioural questions. " Tell me about a time...." After the interview I was contacted 2 weeks later with the information that they had moved forward with someone else. Note: This position is available to people who are not fully licensed, the company is willing to get you licensed. I applied to this position with my series 7 and series 66 active and yet did not get selected nor did they even bother telling me the reason why I wasn't selected, even when I reached out and personally asked. Advice to hiring team: Be more explicit about your expectations so a candidate can properly and efficiently prepare for the sales pitch without guessing. If you do not select a candidate to move forward, and the candidate asks for the reason why, go ahead and provide them with an explanation, so the candidate, if still interested in the company, can attempt to apply again in the future, but this time better prepared,
