J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 4 mois. J'ai passé un entretien chez Canonical (Londres, Angleterre) en juill. 2024
Entretien
In total, I underwent 1 written interview, 2 psychometric assessments, 7 video interviews and 2 take-home design tasks over the course of 4 months.
After a final interview I was told that they would like to make an offer, I had a video discussion with an executive about the terms and was told that I would receive my formal written offer in the next week or so. Two weeks go by and I receive a short email explaining that they've rescinded my offer with little to no explanation.
I pushed to understand why this had happened and was told that despite almost everyone involved in the process thus far wanting to hire me, someone/some process was blocking it and they could not reach a consensus.
Never have I heard of a company where an executive can be confident about making an offer, extend a verbal offer, and then have it blocked. It's completely immoral for someone to make a verbal offer and then rescind it.
Canonical, recruitment is always partly a gamble and god only knows how you manage to recruit anyone.

Question 1
What does UX Design mean to you?
What experience do you have with open-source projects?
What do you hope in four years time you will be able to say you gained from working at Canonical?
Very long, many many steps, in depth, asking questions from a long time ago in the past, but helps understand the company very very well. Need to speak to engineers, hiring mangers, etc. There's also a take-home task involved

Unnecessarily long, did a total of 7 interviews and 3 assessments only to be rejected at the end with no feedback. You will also be required to do a take home assessment
Went through 5 rounds of interviews only to be ignored afterwards. Initial calls were good but I was essentially meeting with everyone from the initial and answering the same questions on repeat. Then waas told there would be another 2 stages and a cast study from there. Very long process.
