It was unorganised. The office seemed really unkempt and reminded me of an IT classroom.
When I arrived, the receptionist seemed surprised to see me and ushered me away to this room to do the written test. The test was really easy and the questions didn't seem to have much thought put behind them. After I finished my test, I had a short interview with someone who said she was Head of Digital.
From the first few minutes, I could tell she was really inexperienced and seemed overwhelmed in her role. Once we got through my experience and it came to me asking questions, she couldn't even answer basic questions like 'what is the day to day tasks of a Copywriter here at Caliston', which surprised me. There were no other copywriters who she could defer to or pull in to assist, and she asked me what a copywriter does more than once(!). She also mentioned that they had hired a a Head of Creative, but couldn't share any details of the incoming's background or experience, which felt odd to me.
She also seemed very unsure on what they actually *did* on a day to day, and kept throwing in buzz words like 'SEO marketing' and 'client facing' with no real info or context.
I got a bad feeling about it and turned down the offer.
