I had one call with the district director, one call with the chief of staff, and one call with the state senator was the process. I was contacted with the first interview about 1-2 weeks after applying.

Why specifically this state senator? Why do you want to work for them?
Three calls - one with the district director, then the elected official, and finally the chief of staff. Very standard and basic interview questions and the last two calls felt more like a "fit" check.
