Position was for a component-level expert in both Layer 1 (PHY) and Layer 2 (MAC) but not one interview question asked about PHY. Sensed the company has some very bright system level staff but does not seem to hold a focus on signal processing (lower PHY). Company seems new at LTE and active on protocol stacks only. Good luck finding someone with component level experience with both L1 and L2. They will end up with a high level system engineer with experience at both layers.
