Overall, it was one of the most disappointing interview processes I’ve experienced. It felt as though the company was taking advantage of the urgency and vulnerability that often comes with J-1 internship applicants.
The hiring timeline dragged on for nearly two months, with repeated delays and a lack of clear communication regarding final decisions. The attitude of some interviewers came across as dismissive or disengaged, and the overall communication throughout the process left much to be desired.
I hope other J-1 applicants can read this and avoid missing out on better opportunities due to unclear or drawn-out processes like this. There is significant room for improvement in how candidates are treated and how the process is managed.
