Standard competency based interviews, one with manager then director and HR then a follow up following a personality quiz. Overall nothing out of the ordinary. Offer was standard and nothing else unexpected or ground breaking.

My recent experience with the interview process at CBRE was, to put it mildly, insulting. I was contacted by HR, and after providing my availability as requested, I received a confirmation for a specific date and time for a call. However, the call never took place. Initially, I tried to give the benefit of the doubt, assuming that an urgent matter might have prevented them from following through or responding to my subsequent email. Unfortunately, as several days passed without any communication, it became clear that this was not a mere oversight. This lack of professionalism led me to consider a few unsettling possibilities about the company's culture and practices: Disregard for Commitments: The failure to follow through on a scheduled call suggests a disregard for commitments, which is both unprofessional and disrespectful to candidates. Possible Bias: There may be underlying issues within the company that influenced the decision to ignore the agreed-upon call. The failure to honour a simple scheduled call, coupled with the lack of any follow-up communication, cast a shadow on the overall professionalism and culture of CBRE. At one point, I even considered the possibility that the original email could have been a scam, as it seemed inconceivable that a reputable company could display such blatant disregard for potential candidates in this day and age.
