J'ai postulé via un établissement d'enseignement supérieur ou universitaire. Le processus a pris 2 mois. J'ai passé un entretien chez CBRE (Washington, DC)
Entretien
A marketing professional reached out to me directly from CBRE in Washington DC about an open design position on her team. The way she went about the process was extremely unprofessional in my opinion. I was directly reached out to by this person and put through the ringer during the process. I received a simple and short email to be rejected after putting me through layers and layers of interviews, waiting weeks, and a design test that I was given extremely vague guidelines for. They had already seen my website, tons of other samples, I went into their office twice as well, provided everything that was asked for. I want to specifically note that I did not initiate this position or interview process. I was directly sourced by a Marketing professional there who reached out to me via LinkedIn. This person had ample time to review my samples, website and design collateral to ensure that I was a good fit for their team before putting me through a series of interviews, along with a design test that they gave extremely vague guidelines for. I am extremely disappointed in the lack of professionalism given to me during this interview process. When you reach out to a person about an open opportunity directly (after I had not even applying to the job) and they do everything asked for during the interview, plus more, the least that they could have done was called me directly to give me this feedback that I would not move forward. I (personally) would not recommend this company if you are a creative professional - it does not seem that they truly know what they need/want.
One phone interview, one in person. In person was very conversational but very thorough. Lasted a very long time, and resulted in a job offer. I think would normally be a shorter interview.

Entretien
The interview felt off from the start—overly formal and unengaging. One interviewer seemed disengaged, and the conversation felt more like a presentation about their careers than an actual interview. They began by emphasizing how busy they were and how they had to find time to interview multiple candidates, making me feel like just another task to check off.
Despite applying for a creative and technical role, they did not ask anything technical or project-related. My efforts to demonstrate enthusiasm and research were dismissed, and my questions were not taken seriously. The whole experience felt rushed and impersonal, giving me the impression of a toxic work environment.
