I got a call from cars24 HR named Mayur Dhar for the Machine Learning Engg profile on 4th Feb and was scheduled a F2F interview on 10th feb, with the CTO named Marut Singh. In the first round CTO Marut Singh came for the interview and started asking me about my experience. After my introduction he said 1.5 years of ML/AI experience was too less to be of any use; which clearly shows that he had rejected me even before I was interviewed; still called me all the way to Gurgaon from Noida(which takes 2.5 hours one way). I shown my fullest interest in Machine Learning and AI and still he kept asking me Software Engg. questions, to which I said your queries are not important/useful from ML/AI perspective (However, I understood the logic behind asking such questions to access my in depth knowledge in my previous projects), quoting fast.AI founder Jeremy Howard; to which he said not to listen to these top researchers, as they dupe people and makes stupid claims. So, at that point it was fairly obvious to me that I have reached a dead-end. Before exiting I insisted him to ask ML/AI questions to which he said he had no expertise in ML/AI. Further he said some other ML guy takes interviews for the same, I requested him to let him take my interview to which he declined and said that interview process was over. I further requested him to just let me have a discussion with ML guy for just 5 minutes as I have come a long way and it may help me to access myself, to which he declined as well; and then I left. In view of the above discussion, it is suggested that resume of the candidate must be kept in consideration before the interview commences, since the candidate come for interview from long distance, investing his valuable time on the profile. i think interview should be centralised either on job profile or past experience on areas as mentioned in resume or desired profile. I think cars24 need to curb such unprofessional attitude.

They called me for a Data Scientist position, Cleared round 1, then they gave assignment. I submitted then they did not even reply, I called HR she did not pickup call. Again after few day she called me again to interview for the same role, again after clearing the first round she sent me an assignment, I submission they did not reply , again I tried to call they just do not pick up the call. What is this behaviour of the HRs??
