Typically includes multiple steps to ensure that all appropriate team members get to participate. The company is mostly virtual, and input from the hiring manager, supervisor, and team members is important. Be prepared to have a handful of interviews via Skype, with some e-mails in-between. Steps include behavioral interview, technical interview, and overall fit interviews. Conversations can happen with people all over the world, as team members are located in several different countries. Headquarters are in Toronto and San Francisco, but an in-person interview was not required. Discussions about salary and benefits typically occur during the interview with the actual hiring manager, and depending on the schedules of the involved parties due to vital company events such as one of several QCon conferences and team/department meetings, the process can take a while. At the end of the day, it is worth it to work with such a great company.
