      Candidature

J'ai postulé via un recruteur. Le processus a pris 4 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Brown Rudnick LLP (New York, NY) en sept. 2025

      Entretien

The interview process consisted of a video screening with the recruiting manager, then a video interview by the director of FP&A (who I would be reporting to), followed by a video interview with both the Financial Systems manager and director of pricing, and the final round being a video interview with the CFO, Each stage was set up fairly quickly and the Brown Rudnick side was responsive. The interviewers were nice and interested in having a conversation. Each person had their own style and focus points, so it was a good mix of conversations throughout the process. Overall, most of the interviews were not difficult as I had prepped a lot beforehand and the questions that were asked were all pertinent to the role. The CFO was the most difficult out of the interviews, but in hindsight a lot of it her doing her due diligence to ensure I knew what I would be getting into if I received an offer. Everyone was open and honest about the pros and cons of the role and the firm so they did a good job in terms of managing expectations.

      Questions d'entretien [1]

      Question 1

There were many items they asked me. The recruiting manager interview was largely about prior work experience and a general personality-fit interview. The director only had 3-4 main questions that we had in-depth conversations about. One of them being what I could offer to the analysts that I would be managing. Another being the type of manager I want to be and what my philosophy is for that and also how I would want to be managed. The Financial Systems manager and Pricing director interview was a pretty free flowing conversation after going through my background. The CFO asked me about my technical background, specifically SQL, if there ever was a time a stakeholder asked me for information that I did not have, and some others. The overall theme of that conversation was ensuring I was adaptable and resourceful enough to work in an environment where I would have to find creative ways to find data and manipulate it to get the output or analysis I needed.
