Had a conversation with 2 founders, both of them developers. The job posting was for FE with React, React Native and other tools of this ecosystem.
We talked about my background (I switched careers), and they weren't convinced by my motivation to become a developer (??). Then they looked at my projects and talked about my goals.
Turned out that the job involved very little work in the FE, 99% of it would be in the PHP BE.
They told me that the job is very difficult and they take risks in hiring new people, as not everyone is suited for this job. Therefore they pay very(!) little the first 3-X months, kind of like a traineeship (not even). And if your performance is to their liking, you get a raise.
The final punch was when they said that I can go and work in Amsterdam at some 'silly' agency, where they will teach me some hacks & tricks to make the job done, but here I would learn 'real' stuff.
