      Entretien

      Overall: I had a total of 4 interviews and an online test, all of which were enjoyable. The interviews were pleasant and friendly; I perceived that each interviewer was genuinely interested in gauging my skillset, and getting to know me as a person. I greatly appreciated that, especially as a younger applicant. Ultimately, my positive experience throughout the interview process, and the rapport I developed with the interviewers, was a major factor in my excitement for the role. Included below are the interviews I participated in, as well as highlights and takeaways from each one. Phone Interview with HR - Recruiter Ashley Soderlund (30 minutes) (6/25/2021): - I received positive feedback for thoughtful answers, which I appreciated, and made me feel like there was genuine interest in what I had to say. - I learned about how innovation can come from anywhere. This was an instrumental selling point for me. - I appreciated that my next interview was scheduled for the very next day, despite Channel Marketing Director Michele DiStasio’s busy schedule. Phone Interview with Channel Marketing Director Michele DiStasio (30 minutes) (6/26/2021): - I was happy to hear that a key barometer of a successful hire would be the employee still at Brady 5 years later, doing increasingly challenging and meaningful work. - I enjoyed the opportunity to discuss some of my analytical projects, while learning more about my fit within the department’s relatively flat hierarchy. - Between the follow up questions, and the feedback on my answers, this once again felt like a real human conversation Panel Video Interview with Director, Direct Marketing, Analytics & Database Marketing Bruno Butruille, Direct Marketing and Data Science Manager Mikko Mindanao, Data Scientist Fatima Han (1 hour) (7/9/2021): - I would say the interview was behavioral, but with a technical undercurrent. - The questions, often about how I would handle various analytical situations, were thought-provoking. I thought they demonstrated the panel’s subject matter expertise, and was impressed that they had tailored several questions to my previous experiences - Based on how this interview tied in with the previous two, I got the sense that the panelists, who work in different countries, nonetheless maintain good communication with each other, and with US coworkers. Online Test (1 hour) (7/11/2021): - I found the test fun, and very manageable as long as I stayed calm and kept track of the time limit. Video Interview with Channel Marketing Director Michele DiStasio (45 minutes) (7/19/2021): - This is when I got the good news! - I was able to learn more about the company and department culture, communication between teams in different countries (cool!), and the thought process behind why I was getting an offer (much appreciated!)
