Bozzuto came to my campus as part of their regular recruiting efforts and each year hires 2-4 people from my school. All interested candidates were given 30 min slots for the initial interview with longer slots in future rounds, etc, etc. Basically, the usual process you would expect and prep for.
But this was far from the usual interview. Granted, my college has some blame here as they scheduled more people then slots, so my interview got pushed late. But this isn't an excuse for how my interviewer conducted herself. She was completely absorbed on her computer, texting people, and even left in the middle to make a phone call. She was so distracted, in fact, that she sometimes forgot to ask questions and repeated others. After about 20 mins of this we wrapped up and it was mutual that I wasn't going to work for them or follow up on the process. I didn't even send the typical thank you note after. It was a total waste of time; I don't mind not getting a job or even having a bad interview, but you should at least be professional and pay attention to what the candidate is saying, at least until the candidate screws up. I didn't have her attention from the time I walked in the door to the time I walked out.
To be fair, the other people I dealt with at Bozzuto were professional and energetic, but overall my experience was negative.

The interview process took about a month. I completed a phone screening at first with a recruiter who was absolutely incredible. She had a friendly and positive aura that radiated through the phone. She went over the job description and my resume and asked standard questions. Next I had an additional interview with a Regional Manager who asked more technical questions related to the job. She seemed very knowledgeable about the company and the role. Lastly, I interviewed with the Property Manager and was offered the role. Overall, it was a pretty standard interview process but the team kept me up to date the entire time. Be prepared to provide at least 5 references. I am excited to start my role with Bozzuto!
