First I had an interview with an experienced recruiter, who was very kind, easy-going, and straightforward. Following that, I had a meeting with the development lead and I was asked common javascript and coding fundamentals. Finally I was given an (unpaid) task project over a weekend and was asked to code in VueJS. I have learned VueJS, coded and delivered the solution within the timeline but never heard back. Even when I asked 2 weeks later via e-mail to confirm if I was indeed rejected, I still didn't get a reply.
