Recruiter screening, hiring manager interview, and 3-person panel interview over the course of two months.
Conversational-style interviews with questions typical to each stage of the process. The panel interview had the most in-depth questions about the actual work. A majority of the questions focused on my ideas and plans to build out the specific program(s), but it didn't seem like they had ideal answers they wanted to hear. My answers were based on past initiatives I’ve led that were successful in similar programs.
After the panel interview, no response from my contact, despite my follow-ups. After a few weeks, I emailed the hiring manager to ask if the role had been filled. Within a few hours, an automated rejection email arrived. It was strangely formatted because it listed two different reasons (first being that they selected another candidate, second being that they are still interviewing candidates). Likely because of two merge fields that were unintentionally pasted into the email template for the rush send.
A few weeks later, I received another email directly from recruiting, with a similar message about another candidate being chosen. The job is still being posted, deleted, and reposted.
