J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 4 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Bitmovin (Vienne) en mars 2023
Entretien
I had two online interviews.
The first one was behavioral: I talked about my background, my projects, and the reasons I applied.
The interview is very relaxing and no stressful at all.
The second one was technical: I was given a few hours to implement a small library.
I had some difficulties in this last interview, but the interviewers were really understanding.
I think they appreciated the way I explained my thought process and the way I critically examined my solution, admitting its flaws and how it could have been better implemented. So I was given a second chance to finish the library.

2x technical + 1x cultural fit + interview with CTO + bar raiser
The process was very smooth, all technical interviews took place in one day, then met the team and had a few more interviews. It's a bit long but I can tell why. The company culture is nice, and the company cares about protecting the culture.
Technical challenge where you need to prove proficiency in any of code languages, in my case picked java. 2 hours to hands-on a code and 30 minutes to explain to seniors engineers.

Share a situation where you need to handle anger and frustrated customers.

Entretien
I interviewed for a SWE intern role.
I first had a call with the Engineering Manager, where we went over my CV and my motivation for the internship. Then, during the technical interview, I was given a problem and the interviewer left the call, returning ~45 minutes later to discuss my solution. While I appreciated the opportunity to solve the problem independently, the format felt unusual and lacked real-time interaction or clarification.
I believe my solution was correct with only a minor fix, which I also mentioned during the discussion, but I was rejected without receiving any feedback. I also followed up with HR and did not receive a response.
Overall, the technical challenge was reasonable, but the interview structure and lack of feedback felt unprofessional and could be improved to better support candidates.
