A short while ago, I received an extremely short phone call telling me that the Digital Marketer position has been closed. Clearly, a lot had changed since we last spoke.
This is not the way to carry out recruitment. In fact, considering I devoted several hours of my personal time (and money) to this, at your request, I consider it to be a great insult.
1h 20 minutes for the first interview (both interviewers enthusiastic)
4 hours on the assignment (very well received)
4h 30 minutes travelling for and attending the interview (“everybody you’ve spoken to would love to work together with you” was the feedback (that's 4 people they are referencing))
I was told I would receive an offer… which never materialised…
45-minute call with the Marketing VP (here I felt he wanted a YES MAN, not someone with extensive experience in international SEO marketing)
In total, I lost over 10.5 hours that I could have spent on something rewarding.
I feel bad for the recruitment and marketing teams at this company. They seemed to have found out this company is struggling, shortly before I did.
