A recruiter reached out to me about a job with Betterup. A couple of weeks later I got a cal about an interview I was supposed to know about happening that afternoon. I scrambled to make time for it and spoke to a recruiter on the phone.
Typical questions. I answered about my experience, the types of things I work on, Ruby, Python, Node, Devops, etc.
Then the recruiter asked about what I aligned with in the companies values, and several variations on that question. I did t have much time to prepare, so I said I want to work with nice people and make positive change in the world.
The recruiter seemed to think I should have known a lot about the company, which isn’t very obvious from the website.
It seemed like the important thing was that I was I to coaching, took coaching, loved all things coaching. Honestly I thought maybe the interview was a scam to get me to buy coaching, there was so much language about the “kool-aid” of coaching.
They told me the next day I wasn’t being considered, which is fine, but they were the ones that reached out to me first.
