The recruiting process is long, mostly they expect you to spend many hours doing online assessments before even having any contact with anyone from HR or the recruitment team. The job description is also quite vague so it is not clear what the specific projects could be for the role. The most disappointing part is that if you do not pass the tasks, you receive a generic email with zero specific feedback.
Here are all the recruitment steps:
- A first batch made of some reasoning tasks, an algorithmic challenge, and an assessment with some open-ended questions
- A second batch made of 2 short behavioral surveys, a reasoning task, and another algorithmic challenge (The first two batches comprise 6 tasks, which are between 45 minutes and 2 hours (!) each. So the time invested by the candidate is over 6 hours before any initial meeting!)
- A behavioral interview with someone from the talent team, where we get to know you better
- A problem-solving interview with another Spooner
- A final, technical, interview with a Spooner working in the role.

There was a task round and then some interviews. The process tests a lot of logical reasoning and quick thinking. The interviews were mostly focused around soft skills and problem solving. If you like logic puzzles this process is pretty interesting.
