I applied to dozens of jobs, but this interview process was the worst. I submitted an application through LinkedIn and got a form rejection letter soon after. A few weeks later, they email me back (remember, this is after they sent me a rejection letter), asking if I'd be willing to interview with them. I say yes. I did two separate phone interviews and completed multiple writing tests. This was spread out over about three weeks - the process was VERY slow. In the meantime, I got another job offer. I asked Becker's when I would get a final answer so I could get the other company a yes/no. My contact didn't reply for over a week. I wasn't even asking for a solid offer - i just asked when I could hear back because I wanted to respect the other company as well. I tried emailing another person in the department. I was given a form rejection letter two weeks later. A bizarre, slow process that was disrespectful of my time.

No phone screen, instead they sent an editing test. With well over a decade of editing under my belt, I know I did well, but I was rejected without any comment. Seems like a bad company.
