Had a phone interview with the worst internal recruiter. The recruiter kept forcing me to answer if salary range worked for me rather than answering my questions, while I tried to get to know about the position more. After being told my questions would only be answered by the hiring manager, I finally said the salary range wasn’t what I was looking for and I did let the recruiter know the type of role I was looking for and the position I applied had a lot of overlaps of my current responsibilities. This is the response from the internal recruiter with the rudest, unprofessional attitude - “I know you want to talk to the front line of people, but if this salary is not what you want, you are wasting my manager’s time. If you want a XXX role, just be patient and apply when available, we won’t alter the role for what you want”. The entire time this recruiter was very impatient and nonchalant.
