Interview process took a month. The first three interviews were very casual, great questions from the team members I spoke with. The final interview was a mock QBR based on a case study. I was told I didn’t get the role because my final presentation was too metric and analytics focused and they don’t have access to their clients data since they work with mainly on-prem customers. I was specifically asked during the interview how I would handle that and I stated I work with on-prem customers in my current role and I work very hand close with my clients to get that type of data so ROI can be shown. I’ve worked as a CSM across 3 organizations and metrics and data are big parts of any CSM organization because how else would you show ROI? Not to mention, most organizations have a way that they conduct their QBRs and you learn their method. I thought my initial interviews were great but it was a huge let down to be told I didn’t get the role because I focused on things that clients need to see to confirm value of the product.
