J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris plus d'une semaine. J'ai passé un entretien chez BT Group (Aberdeen, Écosse) en avr. 2016
Entretien
After passing 3 stages of online tests. I had a telephone interview. This lasted around 20 minutes. I was asked questions about my work history and how i could relate my experience to working in a role at BT.
Describe a time you have overcome a difficult situation.
Previous experience working in a team.
Why BT and what you can bring to the role.
I was then invited to a group interview the following week.
The group interview lasted 3 hours, there were around 16 of us at the interview.
Started off by going round the group learning more about each other. We watched a short film and split into smaller groups. In our groups we were given a sheet of various situations and responses and as a group had to decide most important responses. Our group did agree and we had to go by majority. If you are in the same situation dont argue find a way to come to solution as a group. (The ones that argued were not invited back) I had done a lot of research before the interview, but they changed the format that day but Manpower rep was impressed by the fact that i had done so.
We then went to look around the call centre and got to meet some staff. And listen into calls. Majority of staff were really friendly and made you feel at ease.
Lastly we had individual interviews which we were asked about working in teams, what did your last employer say was best strength and your weakness. What you would say is your weakness. Very nice people and made you feel at ease.
Other things to note, i switched my phone off. Which i think is a standard with interviews. But there were people that had phones out during times we were waiting. They were not invited back, you are not allowed to have mobiles on you during work hours. So if you cant last 3 hours without it, then just dont apply. Also some openly admitted they had lied to their work to come to interview, also not a good idea.
My final note, i have seen a previous review where a interviewee felt they were treated differently due to coming back to work after having a family. I can assure anyone applying it is not the case. More than half the people there are working mothers and i think all the managers interviewing have children.
They told us we would find out within 48 hours. I was called later in the afternoon and given a start date for training.
Training is six weeks and you are paid for this.
Questions d'entretien [1]
Question 1
What would your last employer say was your biggest strength & biggest weakness
