First stage was a HackerRank test online. Was not too difficult. After one month I received an email requesting me to complete another HackerRank test with very brief details on what the test will contain and I had to complete it within two days. The test was 1 and a half hours and I passed this. I then got a call from the company and they told me I was successful at the tests and they would like me to attend an interview. They asked if I could do the interview two days from the phone call but I requested to do it the following week so I had some time to prepare. The interview was a bad experience. It was online via Microsoft Teams and I had one interviewer. She seemed like she did not want to be there and was essentially reading a script with questions to ask me. I would say 90% of the questions were about my skills in programming especially in Java and 10% were competency based. The first question was a technical question too and she did not even introduce herself or ask me to introduce myself. She asked me to send my GitHub profile mid interview and she went through all of my projects. Halfway through the interviewer she turned her camera off whilst I was answering a question and after I finished answering the question (a couple of minutes) I waited for her to turn her microphone and camera back on and she said that she was sorry but she missed my answer and asked me to repeat my answer. Very unprofessional. It was obvious they were only hiring for my skills and not for me.
