The process started with a Codility task, which was quite simple, and I successfully passed it. After that, I was in email communication with the main contact person, and the other interviewers were included in CC. However, on the day of the interview, the main contact person did not join the meeting. Instead, only the two other interviewers attended.
One of the interviewers was polite and asked simple and relevant questions. The other interviewer, however, focused heavily on very deep technical questions, which felt unreasonable for this level of the position. When he asked questions, I answered them and also followed up by going deeper into the explanation to show my understanding of the concepts. However, he continued to ask for more and more depth, beyond what is normally expected in a practical interview. It felt like the focus was more on memorizing very specific details rather than evaluating conceptual understanding and problem-solving ability.
At times, it felt like my answers were not fully acknowledged. In some cases, he repeated questions that I had already answered, which gave the impression that he was not fully listening or considering my responses. This made the discussion feel less interactive and somewhat frustrating.
I also made an effort to be polite and friendly during the interview to maintain a positive and professional conversation. However, there was little response or engagement from their side, which made the overall atmosphere feel uncomfortable and unwelcoming.
