Applied using CV and Cover Letter. Received an unexpected call from recruiter - did a short telephone interview. They should have given me notice or time to prepare rather than springing it on me. I asked her how many placement students they are recruiting - she said only 1 so I guess it was very competitive to actually get the placement. I got an email a week - or two later saying I have been rejected.
