Preliminary phone interview (30 minutes) and then met for an in-person interview about a week later (2 - 2.5 hours). I met with three employees during the in-person interview and answered questions.

They'll hire anyone. As long as you can make a complete sentence, and have some type of background in GIS. They're talking to you in person for protocol purposes. Unless they'll just hire you on the phone. For long distance people, that may work.
