I do not recommend attending this interview process if you really know the work and experience. . Look else where. There are a bunch of just Grads (yes, they are your interviewers) who run around in the interview room like they own it / know it all. You really would end up hearing the bad news no matter what. I can guarantee the future hire is yet another New GRAD. the only one i guess that can satisfy their needs. All of this after i work on a challenge they send me over. I do not have a review of that and when i quote that as example in few of the instances during interview, both the highly exp. interviewers draw a bunch of blank faces ( i wonder why). is n't that supposed to be a good thing. remembering the work you last did for them?
And the rejection email could not even be any less messier. HR lady just copy pastes the template <<position>> like that!! no kidding. this company is not an ideal place to work for when you have years of experience and really can bring your skills on board. Be patient and it will work out better!

Question 1
They asked about everything they know. More dumb questions really than i expected. Some of which took more time to answer due to the complexity( you know what i mean)

I felt the interview rounds were excessive. There was a coding challenge which was very straightforward, I had 3 days to solve it. Some of the interviewers asked questions they didn't have the answer to.

This company is a big mess! Do not waste your time applying for this company at all. After submitting my resume online, I was scheduled for a phone interview with 3 senior team members (Going over my resume - I do exactly what they are looking for: predicting the failure of industrial machines). The interview was very smooth and they said that they will send me a challenge the following week. Although I told them that I will be looking forward to work on the challenge on Tuesday, they sent it to me on Monday (I was super busy that day). The challenge was very similar to the Kaggle competition. I worked hard on it and sent it back (you have 24 hours to complete it). Later, I was scheduled for a technical interview with 2 data scientists (they pretty much asked about everything.. Questions related to ML, Probabilities and Coding). Then I received an email from the HR (oh she's terrible in communication) to go for an on-site interview. Then, the following day substituted the on-site interview by asking me to prepare a presentation (how to market and sell Big data for clients. Yup!). The following day, she changed again her mind and asked me about scheduling another interview with data Scientists! I was like.. really? Then how about the challenge and two interviews that I already had? This company is definitely not looking to hire people! They are just trying to get free advices and make you prepare presentations and materials so they can use it. Oh! Let's go back to the challenge that I stressed out to finish on time and wrote a report on it. No one asked about it. They got your script and that's it.
It was one of the worst processes that I've had. Very unstructured process and unprofessional. It's just a waste of time. After that, I decided to not proceed with the process and I withdrew my application.
