Applied on Indeed and got a response from the hiring manager addressing me by a different name. About two weeks later I went into the office for an interview and was asked several questions. During the interview, they did not mention the salary so I brought that up and they said it was within my ballpark that I requested. About a week later I was asked to come in again an interview with one of the owners, hiring manager, and an associate. Prior to the owner walking about he stated that I had the job. Once the owner left the hiring manager started asking off the wall questions such as how self-aware I was because "he has me figured out and wants to know if I am aware of it".
As I walked out the hiring manager said he would contact me via email about the details of the salary and the start date. A few hours later I got an email from the hiring manager stating that he would like me to come in again to perform my skills to verify that I was worth the amount that I asked in regards to salary. The company as a whole is possibly a good company, but this experience was odd.
