My interviews with the Director of Client Services were wonderful and great. I skipped the second interview and went straight for the last step in the process - a presentation and team meeting. I worked very hard on my presentation and gave it my all for the short day and a half I had to prep. After all, email marketing was not something I had experience doing, but I was stoked to potentially be a part of the company and I worked extremely hard on it. It's the interview day, I presented it. It went very well. I was very nervous as I have never done a presentation for a job interest. Once I finished the presentation, the managing partner and another member started to ask me questions. That's when the managing partner requested my resume and started to *nitpick* my resume. He asked me what my experience was with landing pages (that's not even listed on my resume) and if I knew Java or C++ as listed on my resume, to which I clarified that I wrote many programs as a CS student for 2 years in college. Both are completely unrelated to email marketing, digital marketing, or of my client success skills. He decided he didn't care anymore and basically used his phone for the entirety of my interview until I decided to ask questions about the company. VERY rude. I'm disappointed and very upset with how this interview went, especially after showing how capable I am of learning a new skill, the effort I gave, and showing that I can do the job very WELL. The managing partner is by far one of the worst interviewer experiences I have ever had. It is no wonder why they are understaffed. I was really looking forward to potentially becoming a part of AtWave, but now I feel like I dodged a bullet. Good luck.
