      Entretien

I saw a posting on Indeed for a Help Desk / System Administrator position for Applied Invention and applied. I heard back like a month later from someone in their IT team to schedule a interview. The first interview was a little over 1 hour over Google Meet and I thought it went well because our conversation was fluid. The questions were basically just built to get to know who you are and your technical experience so it wasn't too tough. The person did tell me that they are very picky on who they select so that can be a good thing or bad thing. The person also told me that there like 4 or 5 rounds of interview a candidate would have to go through. They told me I should hear back within 2 days if I move on to the next step, but if I don't then let them know. I didn't hear back so I reached back out, after I did that the hiring manager reached out to schedule a second interview through Zoom. I confirm that the day and time requested worked for me but I never got a Zoom link. So on the day of the interview I sent another email 10 minutes before the interview to confirm, I never heard anything so I emailed the first person I interview with and it ended up that the hiring manager overlooked my email. He apologized and we schedule it for the following day. I looked up the person name and it shows that he's the VP of Technology. The second interview was through Google Meet and it was about 40 minutes about just who I am, my skills, what I'm looking for and getting a overview about the company. He also told me they are very picky on who they hire as well, so I don't think that's a good thing now. He asked about Linux, Active Directory and Networking experience since I didn't have that on my resume. He said I should hear back by the end of the week if I move on to the 3rd step which is talking to the HR person and I did not hear back. It been over a week now and I don't want to reach back out again because I think it shows the lack of professionalism here if I have to follow up. Like a company can be picky but at least keep the candidate inform especially if they spent the time interviewing and you told them when they should hear back by.
