I reached out to the hiring manager and after an interaction, he connected me with the HR to schedule the interview. The technical screening round featured a relatively straightforward string parsing question. However, the question was not written down but explained verbally by the interviewer. Unfortunately, a strong accent made some parts of the explanation unclear, requiring some time for clarification. Despite this, I successfully passed all the test cases.
To my surprise, they chose not to proceed further with the interview process, citing concerns about my comfort level with the coding language I had selected.
