I'll say immediately that I had a pleasant experience interviewing for this position. The people I met with were all highly professional. The recruiting team provided me full transparency in the process (e.g. who I would be speaking to, their title, the content/length of the interview, when I could expect to hear back). They moved quickly and the whole process took approximately two weeks.
The interview format was typical: a phone screen with the recruiter, a phone screen with a senior consultant, and an on-site interview where I met with four individuals back-to-back. The on-site involved a behavioral interview, a technical interview, a presentation, and an interview with a VP.

Why are you looking to work for Appian? Where do you see yourself in the near future?
Has a customer ever made you/asked you to do something you didn't want to do? How do you encourage customer self-sufficiency after implementation? Name a conflict.
Intro call with recruiter, then technical interview, then on-site final round. Interviews were not technically challenging but never received feedback from the recruiter (PoC also changed during the process). Other reviews describing the process are fairly accurate.

Reached out by recruiter for a role as a Technical Consultant for the Public Sector team in DC. Had a follow-up interview and told him I was looking for Software Engineering roles and he said he'd reach out if he came across relevant roles.

I was referred to the role and after applying a recruiter reached out to me to set up a time for a call. After sending over some times that worked for me and my phone number the recruiter never got back to me. I followed up later asking if they were still interested. They responded saying they never got my email and a few times they were free to call. I sent back my availability and they confirmed the time they would call me. They never called me or followed up with me.
