J'ai postulé en ligne. J'ai passé un entretien chez Apollo GraphQL (California, PA) en févr. 2025
Entretien
The interview process began with an initial recruiter screening discussing my background and experience. This was followed by a technical interview focused on software engineering fundamentals, coding experience, system design, and behavioral questions. The interviewers were professional, and the process was well organized with opportunities to explain my technical approach and past projects.
Questions d'entretien [1]
Question 1
Can you walk me through a challenging software project you worked on and explain your technical decisions, the challenges you faced, and the outcome?
Received a random email from a recruiter here. Decided to go ahead and engage, why not?. After submitting availability I was sent an invite for a Zoom a few days later, which I accepted. The recruiter never joined and when I emailed to confirm he was okay, he said his internet was out and we would have to reschedule. I didn’t believe that but okay fine. I submitted new times, again got a meeting invite and accepted it. Again I joined and the recruiter never showed. This time he never even emailed me back to explain his absence.

The interview process was very thoughtful and well structured. I had the chance to meet with several parts of the organization, and each conversation had a clear focus, so I never felt like I was answering the same questions repeatedly. The team placed strong emphasis on understanding my motivations, communication approach, leadership style, and how I would contribute to overall team cohesion. I appreciated the depth and intention behind the process.

Question 1
They asked many situation based questions. For example, they asked me to walk through a customer onboarding I led, then followed up with deeper questions about the outcome, how I managed risk, and what my specific contributions were. They were very focused on understanding how I think through real scenarios and the role I personally played in driving results.
