I applied online on two separate occasions. I was contacted via email and was offered an interview. I came in for the interview and it was very laid back. The manager was very nice and transparent. Weeks went by and I hadn't heard anything. Though I'm not disappointed that I clearly wasn't offered the position, I think it would be nice to receive an email with their decision. Both times I applied for these separate positions, there was no communication afterwards.
