First time that I went through a first stage interview without talking to anyone from HR or the hiring department. Everything was handled online and I was asked to record video answers to question appeared and was given 3 minutes for each questions. Whilst questions asked were relatively generic but the whole process was very robotic. Not only you do not get to meet face-to-face, you were talking to a machine. They presented it as a great way of doing interviews anytime anywhere, but you do want to prepare well and have the chance to ask questions or clarifications, or basically talk to a human being. We don't need to become more digital in every aspect of the business, in HR arguably candidates would look for more human touch and feel respected of their time and effort.
