J'ai postulé en ligne. J'ai passé un entretien chez Amplitude (San Francisco, CA) en juin 2026
Entretien
The interview process followed a standard format: an initial recruiter phone screen followed by a technical interview with an engineer. The interview itself was straightforward, and I felt that my performance was strong. However, I received a rejection email a few days later.
One aspect that stood out was that the interviewer did not seem particularly engaged, and the conversation felt more like a one sided assessment than an interactive discussion. As a result, the overall experience felt less collaborative than I had expected.

J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 1 semaine. J'ai passé un entretien chez Amplitude (San Francisco, CA) en mai 2025
Entretien
The recruiter setup a zoom call with the hiring manager, who was actually not with Amplitude itself, but "CommandAI", formerly "CommandBar", which was acquired by Amplitude. He was a no show for nearly 10 minutes so I emailed the hiring manager, at which point the manager emailed me saying he was detained and would be 10 minutes late. Eventually, 17 minutes in, just as I was closing the tab, he finally showed up. He did not seem like someone I'd want to work for.

Question 1
What have you been doing since your last role. Where do you see your career going?
Manager interview, recruiter interview, 90 min hackerrank working on a JS problem, 30 minute follow up to build on my solution, onsite where I built a basic app with two other engineers.
