I sent in my resume, and got an email back within an hour. They wanted to set an interview up with me, so I responded asking them where they were located, and if they could tell me whether or not this was a commission based job. I noticed the signature line had the word "insurance" in it, and did a little search.. This person emailed me back, didn't answer any questions other than the location where I needed to go interview, and told me she was filling multiple positions and that I shouldn't be alarmed if I see multiple people.
Clearly, after doing my research about this company, I responded that I wouldn't be attending. Without the information I found here on Glassdoor, I would've been foolish enough to drive all the way out there just to be sold a bunch of "goods" that I not only didn't apply for, but that I'm also not licensed/qualified for. I've got a family to support, and I can't waste time going to pointless interviews to be an independent contractor, when I should be going to interviews for jobs that exist, jobs that I applied for, and jobs that I'm qualified for. Don't waste my time.
