I had recently made my resume viewable on a job search site and received a call from American Income Life. The gentleman on the phone indicated that my resume was found on the site and asked what positions I was interested in working in. I stated currently I am looking for a position as an Administrative Assistant or a Human Resources Assistant. He stated that they were hiring for these positions and asked if I was free the next day for an interview. I stated that I was and he set a time for the interview. He gave me the address but never once stated the company's name. When he finished giving me the address he stated that this is an office environment and to make sure to dress professionally. Before he hang up I had to specifically ask for the company's name. I was told that the building would say something else, and had to look it up to find out that it was actually American Income Life.
After doing much research on the company it was fairly clear that it wasn't a company that I wanted to work for but I felt that calling the same day as the interview to cancel was poor form and decided to go to get practice with the process. In the tiny front room there were about 20 other individuals all there for interviews as well. While I waited for my turn the woman at the desk that asked everyone for a copy of their resume as they came in was on the phone. I imagine that it was someone that was canceling their interview as the woman stated in a rude ton that it was their lost then and hung up on them. When it was my turn I followed the interviewer into her office. She asked if I had any questions and I stated that I actually had many questions, the first being are there actually administrative or HR jobs available and are they actually hiring for those. She said that there were jobs and that she was doing a pre-screening for the person I was told I would be interviewing with to see if I was a good fit for their company. She asked if I had done any research on them and I stated that yes, I had done quite a bit of research. We went through a few typical questions, what my previous jobs had been, why I was no longer working with them, my goals for employment, and how hard of a worker I am and I stated in part of my answer that I am planning to continue my education while working. It was at this point she broke the facade and stated that if we were being honest with each other that they needed someone that was devoted to the company and their career and that at the very earliest I would be looking at finishing work at 7pm, but 8pm or 9pm was more likely. I stated that wouldn't be a position that I was interested then. She said it was a shame I wouldn't be working with them since I seemed like an intelligent and bubbly person and thanked me for my time.

Quickest reply and interview I’ve ever had. Within 48 hours I already had an offer from them which was very surprising. Everything was done through practically text which was odd at first and then got everything emailed and verified very quickly. I did feel like the process would of been a lot smoother if they’d mention everything I need to get done get just for the onboarding rather than mentioning things one by one after going back and forth with management. Just having to get things scanned and sent over to them was a pain considering it would of taken a max of 15 minutes getting paperwork fill out and getting document together to send over rather the 3 hours I spent being told one item at a time. That’s as far as we’ve gotten so far but hopefully all goes well.

There was not any process. They only present their company and products during 1 hour.
They pay no attention to your background. It seems they want to sell their products and you have to receive some licenses that they cost around 700!!
