Contacted by phone w/ a script. Went into interview, met with someone briefly who seemed rather incompetent and actually spoke more about himself than seemed interested in actually reviewing my resume. Then was asked to fill out paper work in a room for which they were to present the company, which seemed alluding since the person who contacted me never mentioned such a recruitment process. Once in the room their were four other applicants, we were asked to fill out questionnaire that seemed obvious and annoying... the final question... why should we take a risk in hiring you when our training and the money used to train is costly ... etc.... Really?
Needless to say, two guys came in and said the person whom I presume was to give a presentation of why the company is of benefit to work for has something come up and so they asked us to reschedule our interview a few days later! What a MAJOR waste of time, these people don't have a clue about hiring quality people and instead wasted my valuable time. Dont' waste yours!!!! This place can get an interview right, what else can't do they do? I tell you what they do do..., over promise and take advantage of desperate people. GOOD LUCK!

I was contacted by a recruiter that works for American Income Life (AIL) and scheduled a group interview the following morning. While there, a few current AIL managers presented the hiring process, company functions, compensation package, among other relevant information.

You go in a room with many other applicants waiting. First you interview with somebody one on one. Then everyone goes into another room for a presentation convincing you about the benefits of joining the company

Got a call from a recruiter stating they found my resume on Monster.com. I asked why is an insurance company interested in hiring a 26 year Navy veteran with ZERO sales experience? She said sales isn't the only job open and that a salary (management) job was open as well. Intrigued, I went to the interview to learn about the company. In order to reach management, you must be in the field selling insurance for a period of time and do well enough to build your own team. Sounds great if you are single, out of college, and hungry to work long night time hours. However, I quickly found out it's not for me, since I have 2 kids and a need to replace senior enlisted military pay NOW, and not wait for an undisclosed amount of time based solely on sales.....Needless to say, it sounds like an awesome company to work for, and I'm sure I would've succeeded, just don't have that kind of time.....
