      J'ai postulé via un recruteur. Le processus a pris 2 jours. J'ai passé un entretien chez Alivia Analytics en avr. 2023

      I talked to an external recruiter, gave some code samples, had an enjoyable technical discussion. I was offered the job on the spot, though they also wanted an acceptance on the spot, which I resisted but ultimately agreed to because, whatever, they can't make me work there. However, the company seems to care most about what benefits will cost them, and not whether they are good benefits. When I asked for specifics about the benefits, they were very vague. I finally got the carrier and deductible out of them, but I was told that all of this could change at any time because they revisited it every August (3 months from now). So I asked how much could it change? Would you raise the deductible to $5000 (currently $1000)? That would mean you were cutting my comp by $4000 in the next 3 months. I was told they "couldn't predict the future" and "it's market driven". I asked if they could promise there would always be a PPO (choose any doctor) option. I've never worked anywhere that didn't have that. Again, they refused to commit to anything. I asked if there was any minimum standard for the health insurance that the company would offer. Again, they said, no promises. I declined the offer at that point. Afterwards someone called me up and told me nobody would ever agree to any of that, I was unrealistic, I would never get a job with such demands. But again, these were things I had at literally every previous job. This is gaslighting. In summary I would be very wary of this company and its benefits. There's no HR whatsoever. You can do better.
