The first interview was a phone screen with the H&R and one day later I had a phone interview with the hiring manager which went very well. He wanted to hear about my background, the technical things that I dealt with in my previous job. He asked a few specific questions regarding my career path and asked me where I want to see myself within 5 years.Ten days later I was scheduled a Skype interview with three senior engineers for more technical questions. They asked very specific questions regarding the biomechanics of the tooth movement. They asked what sort of challenges they could be having with respect to polymeric aspects as well as biomechanical aspects. They asked me to draw free body diagrams of the forces applied on a canine for rotational movement and translational movement. They also asked what I would need to do in order to move the tooth in a slippery condition such as saliva. The questions were hard for someone who does not have an experience in the area, especially if you haven't dealt with physics for a long time. The hardest part was that you were expected to come up with ideas to the problems they were having right on the spot. Otherwise, you can find solutions to the questions if you have time to do your research. I was also asked how I would pick if I had different job offers. I unfortunately was not advanced to the final step of the interview process which was an onsite interview requiring an oral presentation. i would suggest candidates to study biomechanics of tooth movement very well.
