J'ai postulé en ligne. J'ai passé un entretien chez Airwallex (Sydney)
Entretien
I have applied for roles with Airwallex twice over the last 1.5 years, and both experiences highlighted a complete lack of regard for the candidate.
The first time, I had an initial phone screen with the Talent team. After waiting two weeks for an update, I was told they wouldn't be moving forward because they were 'too far along' with other candidates. It’s baffling why they would waste a candidate's time with a screening call if they weren't actually prepared to interview more people.
Most recently, I applied for a role that was a strong match for my skills, only to receive a rejection email within 3 hours. It feels like their process is either automated to a fault or entirely dismissive. Very disappointing experience—Airwallex clearly doesn't value the people behind the applications
J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 1 semaine. J'ai passé un entretien chez Airwallex (Singapour) en juin 2025
Entretien
The interview process was quick and efficient, moving from initial screening to follow-up discussions in a short time frame. Communication was prompt, and scheduling was flexible, which helped maintain momentum throughout the process. The recruiter was transparent and personable, creating a comfortable environment for open discussion.
During my research process, I discovered that the CEO has a somewhat controversial reputation, which could be a potential red flag for some candidates. I also noticed that a few acquaintances who joined the company have reputations that raised some questions. It’s unclear whether this reflects a broader cultural trend, but it’s something worth keeping in mind for anyone considering opportunities here.
