Hi and thank you for your review on our Glassdoor profile. We do apologize that we had to cancel the interview due to unforeseen circumstances but we were not ever informed of your situation of needing to drive that far for a first-level interview. We would have never scheduled a first-level interview with someone that far out and had we known about your location upfront we would have offered a Skype or phone interview instead.
Also, the communication you received was not that the position was filled but that we were simply unable to conduct interviews that day due to unforeseen circumstances. Had it also been communicated to us that you were traveling from that far we may not have canceled but by the time we found out it was too late.
We combed through our communications with both individuals you had contact with and none of the communications ever stated you would be traveling that distance for a first-level interview. We did not at all know your situation because it was not properly communicated to us. We do wish we would have known because had it been, again, we would have offered you a phone and/or Skype solution for a first-level interview.
