I had a thirty minute phone interview and then an offer to interview in person at a two-day hiring event. They already seemed confused about who I was (referencing a person I’d never spoken to, calling me the wrong name) during this process of setting this up. The hiring event came along, and it went well as a whole. Each candidate interviewed with at least four people. We heard from current employers that the turnaround is fast, and that we’d hear back early next week. That week comes, and I hear nothing and assume rejection. I sent a couple of follow-up emails that same week that didn’t receive any responses. A week later, I get an automated email rejection in my inbox. “Thank you for inquiring about employment opportunities with AdvanSix.” It was a disappointing reflection of the company.
