I had a 30-minute phone interview with the hiring manager. He called 5 minutes late and the first thing he said was we had to be done in 25 minutes because he had another meeting. He seemed distracted and rushed. He ran through a lot of detail about himself and the job and strangely, it wasn’t the job I applied for at all but instead a project manager role. He then told me my background wasn’t a match because he needed x, y, z experience which if he’d read my resume he would have realized I didn’t have. I agreed with him and we ended the call amicably but it put me off of applying with AbbVie again.
