It was a pretty normal experience. I met the director for my department and he asked me several questions. He seemed interested and engaged for the first 5-10 minutes of the interview, but then he started answering emails while i was answering his questions. I was trying to give answers that would take long enough to fill the time he was looking at his computer screen, but inevitably I would run out of ways to answer the question and sit there in silence for 15-20 seconds and then he would snap out of it and say, "Oh, yes. Very good."
