I had 2 interviews in total. The first one was with the manager of the sector and a specialist. It was a nice and respectful first conversation. We spent 1 hour talking, they were asking me general questions about professional and personal life. No technical questions asked. One week later I received an invitation for the second and last interview. The manager was also there, but with a different specialist/another manager. They asked me again general questions about personal and professional life, as well as what I know about the country and my expectations about the job. Both interviews went pretty well, and they actually said they liked me (they gave me specific professional compliments) and would like to hire me, BUT the fact that I wasn't from their continent was clearly a problem. I find this unfortunate, to say the least, since ASML a multinational company. If you're from the same continent it should be easier for you. Be confident, know what you're talking about and if you don't, be clear about it. They just want your honesty.
