Did a phone screen with the recruiter. He was professional and kind, learned in that conversation this probably isn’t a company I see myself working.
Funny story - I was contacted by an outside recruiter MONTHS after that conversation for this same position. Had to awkwardly tell them I was still waiting for the rejection from the recruiter. Just received the template reject email…again months after that initial screening. Yikes! (I had been in a new role for an entire month at that point.) Note to the recruiting team: reject candidates as you go, your current practice is insanely antiquated, and begs for a nasty candidate experience (and bad Glassdoor reviews).
